In the World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water standard, as in the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency of USA), the highest TDS allowed is 500 ppm (mg/lt). Achieving this quality in a brine treatment RO system depends on the inlet water and the system conditions to be selected accordingly. The reverse osmosis process is mostly used to remove low molecular weight dissolved ions. Its application area is membrane module configuration, engineering and application problems in reverse osmosis processes. The main uses of reverse osmosis are the desalination and concentration of water or the recovery of valuable products in water. Industrial reverse osmosis (RO) system design brings with it many criteria.

The important factors affecting RO system design are as follows:

-Inlet Water Analysis

-Inlet Water Temperature

-System Recovery

-Applied Pressure

-Flux Value

Actions that may be required depending on the condition of the raw water before entering the RO devices:

– Acid/caustic dosage for pH adjustment,

– Pre-filtration, removal of chlorine and organic matter,

– Iron / manganese removal,

– Hardness removal,

– Antiscalant dosage (antiscalant dosage must be done before reverse osmosis system to prevent membrane clogging).

Technical Information

STANDARD FEATURES

TFC spiral winding membrane

Stainless – FRP membrane housing

Stainless – electrostatic coated switch

5 micron pre cartridge filter

Input solenoid valves
Pressure control valves
Low pressure switch
Fresh water and waste water flowmeters Between 0-25 bar with glycerine monometer (for the system pressure)

Time-controlled rinsing system Electrical panel
High-pressure pump power circuits On-off switch

Status lights

Reverse osmosis systems are systems used to purify high concentration water with chemical salts by 90- 99% to obtain low concentration water close to pure water.
